Seribu Islands Deputy Regent Muhammad Fadjar Churniawan says the Perumda Pasar Jaya has started construction on a new wholesale market, JakGrosir, on Sebira Island, Harapan Islands Urban Village, North Seribu Islands.

It aims to help residents to get their food shopping needs at affordable prices considering previously they had to pay more for transportation to cross the sea to shop in Tangerang or Jakarta.
"This wholesale market can be used by 22 business actors on Sebira Island to buy various basic needs at low prices," he expressed, Wednesday (6/8).

The same statement also came out from RW 03 Sebira Island Chairman Muhammad Ali Kurniawan who admitted that he was grateful for the construction of JakGrosir in his area, as locals can start trading activities.
"Alhamdulillah, we no longer need to go to land to get merchandise, moreover the price is the same as the price on land. So, it saves time and transportation costs," he concluded.
